Q*bert is an isometric platform game with puzzle elements where the player controls the titular protagonist from a third-person perspective. Q*bert starts each game at the top of a pyramid of cubes, and moves by jumping diagonally from cube to cube. Landing on a cube causes it to change color, and changing every cube to the target color allows the player to progress to the next stage.

Qix

The objective of Qix is to claim a certain proportion of the playing field as your own. At the start of each level, the playing field is just a large, empty rectangle, containing the Qix - a stick-like entity that performs peculiar, erratic motions within the confines of the rectangle. The player controls a small marker that can move around the edges of the rectangle. To claim an area of the screen, the player must detach from an edge and draw Stix within the rectangle. Stix are simply lines traced out by moving the marker. When the marker traces out a closed shape, the area enclosed by the shape becomes solid and has been claimed. The player may draw either Fast Stix, which appear blue when solid, or Slow Stix, which appear red. Slow Stix take longer to draw, but are worth twice as many points. Once the player has claimed an area, the marker can safely move along the border of that claimed area. To complete a level, the player must claim 75% or more of the rectangle's area.

Quantum

Quantum is a reflex-based vector game set in the sub-atomic world of quantum physics, in which the player controls a probe (or 'Sparkler') and must fully encircle atomic particles for points without touching various other particles. Once the particles are surrounded by the probe's tail they are destroyed. The game features numerous particle types that must be encircled and destroyed or avoided. First, there are nuclei around which electrons orbit. When a nucleus is encircled (snared) and explodes, the Electrons change into Positrons which, if they are encircled before flying off the screen, are worth extra points. As play progresses, Pulsars appear. These travel towards the player's probe, pulsating their arms in and out as they move. The probe is destroyed if it makes contact with any part of a Pulsar. Other deadly particles include triangular Photons, self-deviding Splitters and diamond-shaped Triphons. In later stages, the nuclei join together, forming bonds. The player's probe is destroyed if it crosses the bonds when they are red, but can safely cross when they are yellow.

Quartet es un híbrido de plataforma shoot-em-up de Sega para uno a cuatro jugadores, seleccionados entre Joe (amarillo), Mary (rojo), Lee (azul) y Edgar (verde). La acción tiene lugar en varios niveles de desplazamiento lateral, la mayoría de los cuales consisten en una acción de plataforma sencilla. Sin embargo, en algunos niveles, hay paquetes de jet para que los jugadores recojan, y el énfasis de la jugabilidad cambió al de un shoot-em-up estándar de desplazamiento lateral. El objetivo del juego es destruir un ejército de robots que se han apoderado de una estación satélite de la colonia de la Tierra. Cada nivel tiene un personaje jefe que debe ser destruido. Tras su muerte, libera una llave de la puerta que debe usarse para salir del nivel. Se pueden recoger potenciadores de armas y personajes para ayudar a los jugadores en su tarea.

Se juega similar a un juego de mesa, donde se le da al jugador una tirada de dados predeterminada que mueve al jugador hasta seis espacios en el tablero; sin embargo, si al jugador se le da la opción, puede moverse a un espacio de su elección si hay una bifurcación en el camino. Después de aterrizar en un espacio, al jugador se le da una serie de preguntas (la cantidad de preguntas necesarias para ser contestadas aumenta a medida que el juego progresa) para proceder de nuevo al tablero para otro tiro de dados. Al jugador se le da un límite de tiempo para responder la pregunta, con puntos dados que varían en función de la velocidad con la que el jugador contestó la pregunta correctamente. Si el jugador tiene éxito en contestar una pregunta, uno de los orbes arriba del retrato del enemigo se encenderá, indicando una respuesta correcta. Si el jugador responde una pregunta incorrectamente, perderá un punto de vida. si el jugador pierde todos los puntos de vida, el jugador debe continuar dentro del límite de tiempo o si no, la partida ha terminado.
