Tactician

At its core, Tactician might seem like another Space Invaders / Galaxian clone - you control a small ship at the bottom of the screen, which can actually move up or down a bit, instead of just left and right - but it has a pretty cool gimmick going for it. At the beginning of each stage, you can "draw" a barrier by placing little dots around the playing field. After several seconds, enemies are released from their bases and begin to swarm the screen. They'll usually make quick work of the barrier, but if you shoot the red ball it'll explode and destroy anything near it. Quite a cool concept for something from 1981 - it's a shame that Tactician is so unknown, and that the idea was never expanded on in any other games. Some versions list the game as copyrighted by Sega, but they apparently only distributed the game in certain territories.

Tank Battalion

Tank Battalion is a multi-directional shooter arcade video game. The player, controlling a tank, must destroy 20 enemy tanks in each level, which enter the playfield from the top of the screen. The enemy tanks attempt to destroy the player's base (represented on the map as an eagle), as well as the player's tank. A level is completed when the player destroys all 20 enemy tanks, but the game ends if the player's base is destroyed or the player loses all his lives.

You control a tank with a hall effect joystick. The tank can move in 8 directions. The fire button causes the tank to shoot in the direction it is moving. On each screen, there are active and dormant enemy tanks. As the screens progress, the tanks are worth more and more, but the dormant tanks are always worth twice as much as the active ones. Of course they are well guarded! The scenery consists of a few trees and a river which you can only cross by bridge. If you shoot an active tank, one of the dormant tanks will spring to life and come after you. The object of the game is to clear the level and go on to the next one before they kill you. Each succeeding level has more enemies, and moves faster and faster.

Tecmo World Cup es un juego de fútbol que cuenta únicamente con equipos nacionales. Como indica el título, puedes jugar el torneo de la Copa Mundial, que también incluirá una ronda de clasificación. Puedes elegir tu equipo de un grupo de 24 naciones, aunque el surtido no es idéntico a la lista de la última Copa del Mundo en el momento del lanzamiento de los juegos. Además, la clasificación, en contraste con la Copa Mundial real, solo tiene cuatro equipos, ya que no participan otros 24 equipos disponibles. Además de la Copa del Mundo, el único otro modo para un jugador es un partido amistoso contra un equipo elegido al azar.

Tehkan World Cup, también conocido como Tecmo Cup, es el primer juego de fútbol multijugador con un mando de trackball. Programado por Michishito Ishizuka, fue lanzado en los salones recreativos en 1985 por Tehkan, Ltd., el antiguo nombre de Tecmo, Inc. Su llegada coincidió con la preparación de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA de 1986. En él aparecían los colores de varias de las principales selecciones del mundo, como Alemania Occidental, Argentina y Brasil, aunque no mencionaba a ningún equipo por su nombre por no disponer de las licencias oportunas.

Has interesting screen transition effects and a well-orchestrated version of the movie's popular theme song.
